Tribute to Old Agoura Ride

We hope you can join Danny and Ruth on Saturday, May 15, 2021 – when we’re planning to ride our horses from his house at 28442 Driver Ave. to have lunch at The Latigo Kid, and ride back to his house.
We are doing this ride to show the public that horses remain an important part of the rural lifestyle in the Old Agoura Community.
Some of you may not want to ride so you are welcome to meet us at Latigo Kid and join us for lunch.
Everyone is responsible for themselves and their horses. Everyone pays for their own lunch. This is NOT an organization ride.
If you are riding your horse, note that we will be riding on Driver Ave, crossing Kanan Rd. and riding through the large parking areas of both the Ralphs and Vons shopping centers. There will be traffic of cars, trucks, motorcycles, vans, bicycles, big trucks, UPS, and whatever else. Some of those drivers are courteous and some are not. Be sure your horse is comfortable and safe with traffic, with vehicles next to him, and with horns honking.
There will be a trailer in the parking lot so some of you can tie your horse to – if you bring a halter / lead rope, if your horse stands quietly and doesn’t pull back.
It takes about 20 minutes to ride to Latigo – an hour or so for lunch – & 20 minutes to ride back.
Please RSVP to the contacts below if you are interested in riding with us or just joining us for lunch. Let us know how many you will be at lunch so we can add you to the reservations, or you can make your own reservation.
